The use of flowers in the workplace has short term and long term gains in terms of employee productivity. In a natural environment employees work without stress, interact better with their colleagues, have more patience and show great cooperation. This has a direct impact on their daily productivity.
Research at the Texas A&M University has provided scientific evidence that when working with flowers and plants, employees tend to improve their productivity.
A similar research at the State University of New York, found that flowers have a much higher impact on people than its commonly believed. With fresh flowers in sight, people showed higher levels of happiness as compared to those in surroundings without natural elements.

Research showed that a controlled group of employees working in an office filled with flowers and plants, when compared with another group in common office surroundings, the controlled group created more solutions to problems. While men in this group generated more ideas, women generated solutions that were more flexible.

At the Rutgers University, researchers found that when people received flowers it affected different parts of their brain associated with human emotions. The feeling of happiness and well-being was the highest among people who received flowers when compared with people who received other gifts.
